Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Agent6ix LLC, which operates Kadence ("Kadence," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://www.startkadence.com (the "Site") or contact us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Two different roles, and which part applies to you
This policy covers two situations, and they are not the same:
- You visit our Site or contact us. We decide how your information is handled, and everything below applies.
- You are a Kadence customer, and your own clients' records are in the platform. There, you decide what is collected and why. We only process it on your instructions. See "Data inside the Kadence platform" below, and your agreement with us.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you submit our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, company, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect limited technical information, which may include your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and general location. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies and Analytics
We use the following tools to understand how the Site performs and how visitors use it:
- Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights measure page views and real-world performance. These tools are privacy-friendly and do not use cookies to track you across sites.
- Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns.
- Meta Pixel measures the effectiveness of advertising and may be used for ad attribution.
- Microsoft Clarity records session replays and heatmaps so we can see how visitors navigate and where pages cause confusion.
- Cortality measures engagement with individual page elements, including pointer movement, scrolling, and periodic snapshots of the page layout. It does not capture what you type into forms.
- PostHog records product analytics such as page views and the actions you take on the Site, captures errors so we can fix them, and records a replay of your session. Text you type into form fields is masked out of these replays.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site features.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- To analyze usage and measure the performance of our content and ads.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site, including Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (email delivery), Google, Meta, Microsoft (Clarity analytics), Cortality (engagement analytics), and PostHog (product analytics).
- Legal compliance when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Data Inside the Kadence Platform
This section is about the records our customers keep in the Kadence platform: their own clients' contact details, policy information, and related records. It is different from the rest of this policy.
The customer decides, not us
Our customers are life insurance practices. Each of them decides what client information to collect, why, and how long to keep it. They are the controller of that information under applicable privacy law, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act where the practice operates in Canada. We process it only on their instructions, to provide the platform to them.
If you are the client of a practice that uses Kadence, and you want to see, correct, or delete your information, contact that practice directly. They control it. If you contact us, we will refer you to them and help them respond.
What we never do with it
We may analyze platform data in aggregated, de-identified form purely to find usage patterns that improve the product. We do not sell, rent, or share it, do not use it for marketing or advertising, and do not use it to train any third-party or publicly available AI model. It is never used in any form from which an individual could be identified.
Where it is processed
Platform infrastructure is located in the United States, with support access from India. We engage subprocessors for platform hosting, cloud storage, SMS, voice and email transmission, AI processing where a customer enables it, support, analytics, payments, and identity verification. A current list naming each one is available to customers in their account and on request.
Text Messages and Mobile Opt-In
Where you consent to receive text messages from us or from a practice using Kadence, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance.
Mobile information and consent to receive text messages is never shared or sold to third parties for marketing purposes. Information obtained as part of an opt-in is used only to send the messages you agreed to receive and to support that service.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer required.
For data held in the platform on a customer's behalf, deletion after their subscription ends follows the underlying platform's standard retention cycle, currently up to 90 days.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what information we collect and the right to request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
